I'm Victor Antofica. This is where I write what doesn't fit on victorantos.com — that one is the career, this one is everything else: technology, politics, Moldova, and whatever else is worth an argument.
Why five languages
Moldova isn't read in a single language. Pieces are written in Romanian first, and the ones worth the effort get translated into English, Russian, German and French. Not everything here exists in all five — the switcher in the footer only lists the editions that actually exist for the page you're on.
How the site is built
No database and no server: plain turns a folder of
Markdown files into a static site. The writing lives as files in a Git repo, and
every change is a commit. Each page is also available as JSON, under /api/.
